More About This Car
The 2003 Honda Accord EX Sedan provides an extra level of refinement
and comfort. Inside, you'll find standard front side
airbags, an AM/FM/6-disc in-dash changer and 6 speakers,
steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, premium interior
trim, ambient console lighting and a driver's seat with
power height adjustment. Outside, there are 16" alloy
wheels, 4-wheel disc brakes with electronic brake
distribution and a power moonroof (sunroof) with tilt
feature.
The V-6 is a CARB-certified Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicle (ULEV).
And select 4-cylinder Accords are Super-Ultra-Low-Emission
Vehicles (SULEV),* which are among the cleanest
gasoline-powered cars in the world. Both engines feature
variable valve timing and lift electronic control (VTEC®)
technology. VTEC enables the engine to benefit from two
distinct sets of valve timing and lift specifications to
optimize both low-rpm torque and high-rpm horsepower. Also,
the 2003 Honda Accord's low coefficient of drag enhances its fuel
efficiency and reduces wind noise. The i-VTEC® engine
in all 4-cylinder Accords is further enhanced by Variable
Timing Control (VTC), which controls the timing of the
intake valves for even greater performance.
*2003 Honda Accord LX and EX models with automatic transmission are SULEV-rated. (Available in California only)
When all is said and done,
nothing is more important than the safety of you and your
passengers. That's why the
2003 Honda Accord Sedan is constructed with a rigid safety cage,
almost half of which is made up of strong, high-tensile
steel. Front and rear crush zones have been designed into
the 2003 Honda Accord's structure to help absorb and redirect crash
energy.
All Accord models come equipped with dual-stage front
airbags (SRS), while most also come with front side
airbags.* And an anti-lock braking system (ABS) is standard
on all to help the driver retain steering control when
braking hard. Both V-6 models have a Traction Control System
(TCS) that uses the ABS wheel-speed sensors and helps
optimize traction at speeds up to 50 mph.
*Front side airbags are available on the LX model and come
standard on the EX and V-6 models. Plus, a side curtain
airbag system is standard equipment on the 2003 Honda Accord EX V-6.
